Is Filter Forge able to recognize and use ALL the cores from a DOUBLE CPU Xeon computers?

I already know that Filter Forge is optimized to use all the cores available in the computer, BUT is also able to recognize and use TWO cpus, instead of only one?

I think that the answer to this will be YES, but anyway I want to ask to confirm it.

I am asking this because I have seen that Windows Home and some other software that do not recognize and can´t use double cpu Xeon computers, as they can only use ONE and only processor.

These software can use as many cores that single CPU may have but just only can use one.

I also have seen that you can´t build DUAL cpu computer with normal standard processor chips as they do not have the QPI link component that makes them be able to communicate and share the data and be able to work toghether.

I think that this is clearly a marketing strategy so they can charge much more money for very expensive Xeon chips instead of adding QPI to high end desktop CPU chips.

The multithreading code of FF was developed before multicore processors were commercially available, so our development machine was a dual-CPU one.

Filter Forge (the Pro edition) should recognize and use all cores of all CPUs. If it doesn't, it's definitely not by design.

Thanks for the answer and good news that FF was developed using a dual CPU, and that it should be able to recognize ALL the cores of any chips.
