I installed your beta into my virtual PC, RAR'ed up the files from the .\program files target directory with the addition of dbghelp-xfw.dll to your Bin directory. I was too lazy to capture the install with Total Install. Filter Forge now runs from my USB key in XP Pro but there seems to be something sneaky missing. Filter Forge doesn't seem to know how to handle *.ffcmd files.
I prefer software installations not scatter files throughout my tidy system. Do you have a non-installer version of your beta? .. |

Not only this, but .ffxml as well. You'll have to update the registry manually to enable the both file associations.
No, and we have no plans of offering such version. Filter Forge will always use an installer. Basically, a non installer version would have to do the same procedures -- create necessary folders, copy files, find plugin folders of host apps and install plugins there, update the registry etc etc. Why bother with a non-installer version when all this can be done by the installer? |

I captured this:
http://rapidshare.com/files/2426370/f...ng.reg.txt I removed the bits referencing uninstall and rng. Did I miss anything? ![]() So then a better question is how can one BATCH import textures? .. |

Please use the file attachment forum feature (or since it's a text file, just paste it here). Also, please do not use rapidshare (or any other limited download service) to send us files, we will not download them.
I would like to note, that the our installer does not scatter files throughout your tidy system. It installs program files and static resources in your Program Files folder, the shared library dbghelp-xfw.dll in system folder (this is not placed in Program Files to allow the free copying of Plugins without installation) and registers the file associations along with uninstallation information. I seriously don't see any "scattering" here.
It's not Filter Forge, it's your shell. You can use the 'PathToFilterForge\Bin\Filter Forge.exe --ffcmd "%1"' command string for a proper .ffcmd file association. |
