In what programs does FF3 work as a filter?
Besides photoshop, that is. Not trying to be negative - I'm lovin' FF3. Its just that I don't use Photoshop. And would like to be able to use FF from within other programs. Gimp with PS filter support doesn't seem to like FF. Artrage does not. Painter doesn't (at least not the demo of Painter 12). Is there something I don't know (as in how to get this working) or is it simply a compatibility issue that can't be overcome unless the various program creators decide to do something about it? Thanks |

Try Imagelys. It is not so expansive for the pro version and you will be able to add 8bf plugins, as FF.

I know there are a few other programs other than Photoshop that supports Filter Forge as a host.
Corel Painter was supported until version 11 as far as I know. Also Corel Photo Paint and Corel PaintShopPro (do not know which versions) In the wiki - Most Asked Support Questions

Bought PaintshopPro X4 - surprisingly good program and on sale for a reasonable price.
Also, chatted with DaveRage over at Ambient Design and he is working on the compatibility issues with ArtRage. Hope he gets it resolved as ArtRage is a great drawing/painting program. Thanks |

I think that this is ONLY possible with the NEW versions of 2012, I mean Web Designer 8.0 = Web Designer MX premium As I have Web Designer 7.0 premium and is not possible to use any of the photoshop plugins, this is a new feature of the new version. |

Yes you are quite right that of the Web Designer programs from Xara only Web Designer MX premium has the plug-in feature.
Designer Pro, which is the flagship version with everything, and Photo & Graphic Designer have always had this function ![]() I created a custom tab for my facebook business page using Designer Pro and a filter forge filter (for the repeating background) May I post a link to share it with everyone here? What is the policy here regarding links? |

Sure you may, but unless it is related to the current topic you'd better post it in the User Gallery or Offtopic forum. |
