aba58,

You cannot be held liable for any damages for software that impersonates yours. Also there is not even any allegation of liability. The modification of your work adapted for FF8 works as others would wish it to, and harms nothing.

Moreover, you need to continue enjoying credit for your work, continue allowing others to enjoy the fruit of it, and not let the actions of others determine either. You can't control what others may try to do with your work, but you can control what you do with it, and nobody can hurt your work or hold you liable for allegations that don't even exist anyway.

That said, others working together can keep up with demand for new features better than you working alone. If there was not such demand outstripping what you've been able to keep up with, nobody would have adapted the work for FF8 without consulting you (they would have collaborated with you if you were open to collaborating with others). I think the best place for your work might be as a collaborative community project, but at the very least there are no good reasons to discontinue or worse censor your own work.

Meanwhile all y'all may know that there are similar tools. I wrote one FilterForgeBatchWrapper (that is a link to the source code and binaries archive at GitHub.) (Here is the forum announce post for it). I have no idea how it compares and it was last tested a long time ago.

I can't find any tools that properly automate the batch process in FF, the 2 Mac tools mentioned in the forum don't work in the latest OSX, and since this one was pulled for Windows... GMM if you are listening, the need for this is great. I want to animate, but am not about to hand write a bunch of XML files. Very frustrating.

UPDATE: Tomorrow I will give earthbound's batch wrapper for Windows a look. Completely missed the link in the last post, DUH!

when I heard from GMM that someone has hacked my batchtool I dicided to stop development and to withdraw it from my dropbox. So sorry, no more new versions from me.

This is really a great pity and a really big loss and this has been an awesome useful and helpful tool and is very bad and I do not know really what happened and it seems that it was a fix and not really a hack.

I have seen that the only working link for FF 8 is this one here

An FF user recently sent us a version of FFBAT that is supposed to work with Filter Forge 8:

I have no idea if it works as intended but I guess it's better than nothing. I only had it scanned by a virus checker to confirm it is clean. We (Filter Forge, Inc) don't support or endorse it, all credits go to the original author (aba) and the author of the fix (Tiny Toon).

I hope we'll come up with a batch tool of our own some day.

But this link could be broken later and I have seen that as said all the links that to this really awesome and very useful, helpful and awesome tool are not working and would be a really pity and great loss if this would not be available to download

so I wonder if it would be possible that this could be stored and saved in a safe place in the FF servers so it could be available always

And in he FF wiki the link is also missing

I hope and wish this could be stored in the FF website servers to keep it safe

OH!! YES!! This would be really a huge great news if FF itself could be able to have this included and would be a really huge reason to update to that version.

Thanks very much

As I said above, is a great pity that this is not still available, but the good news is that there is an alternative for Windows version here

FFEasyRender 2.0 - GUI based batch renderer for Windows for FF 9.0

It is told that it works for earlier FF versions and not only FF 9

Hello Everyone...and thanks to the team for granting me access to the forum.

Well Covid-19 is probably good news for Filter Forge because I was bored out of my mind and figured out a way on how to make Batch loop processing.

I noticed by co-incidence that if you look at the following image :

https://ibb.co/qjjHWfB

Each cell can be linked to a class get or set that works in either AutoIt or autohotkey.

The only downfall is that the value of edit changes fr om plugin to plugin however that not so bad as 13k filters to find the correct edit value once done nothing changes unless the filter gets a upgrade (and 5-6 new updates here and there is nothing to maintain.)

Right now I have the modules for importing the filter names and the filter information in the same order as the filter forge program.

I have already setup for either individual images or by folder.

The way this batch program will work (If all goes well I'll have a decent version out for the 1st of August)

What this Batch program will offer is take for example the image I attached

Section Variation goes from 1 to 30000 in the interface you'll be able to enter a range and check mark that you want this to loop.

Should you add a second choice such as output mode which goes to 4 you could render loop all 120000 images and save them and add any other function you would like to change in the list as the interface will have all the min max default and a check mark option to say if you want to loop it and last you can choose wh ere to save and file structure you want.

The main reason why I am posting is I'm asking if anyone needed something extra that falls in the same line of process let me know if it's something I can add to implement I will do so and feel free to ask any questions.

Last but not least I'll gladly share the sources and make a small guide on how to add new filters edit info.
