To follow up, Bella has sent me the link, and a reward has been claimed, so thanks to Bella. However, I still think there is a slight problem with their main email sending app or the way it is configured. If anyone else has problems not receiving emails from FF, either newsletters, or when/after they claim a reward (not support emails, those work fine for me too, and not personal emails from other FF users, those seem to work fine also), please contact FF through the site support form, and let them know so they can look into it, and solve the problem if there is indeed one there. Thanks all.

I just looked, and I am subscribed, however, we also know I use Hotmail as a primary email. Man, I always manage to pick the wrong thing to use, can't open filters from IE, Hotmail eats some emails, sheesh, I need a new c-list celebrity tarot card reader or something. smile:p

Yeah, if you have screening set to exclusive with Hotmail, you have to keep checking junk mail and allow it as a contact to show up in your allowable mail. I've used Hotmail forever it seems.....because you never have to reset anything up if you change computers or move. I actually have ten possible email accounts that I pay for with my access provider.....but I don't ever use them. The only drawback with Hotmail is that I can't use it with Outlook.....which is deliberately done to get you to pay for it......

I do check each time I open Hotmail [which is virtually every day ], I could have missed it I guess but I doubt it, is it a regular newsletter - is there a way to manually download previous newsletters - could this be related to my problem of not getting many notifications of forum posts [like this one which I am subscribed to but had no notifications of any posts ]

---According to FF it is, I do not know, although I have not missed many if any other emails, or at least not been made aware that I have, and I'm fairly aware believe it or not ha-ha.

----The only FF emails I have not gotten so far, are the newsletters, and the auto-generated one from the Claim Rewards page. I think it is a problem with the main FF email sending setup, because I always get emails from Bella and whoeever at FF, as well as FF users through the internal FF email/message system. Bella thinks it is Hotmail, and the truth is somewhere inbetween, or at least not fully determined at this point.

Aha! That's just it. Toldja, jffe, it's hotmail.

Yes, it's most certainly related. The emails that we know disappear so far are those that have automatic-looking headers -- newsletters and various notifications.

No, but you can read the same info in the Our News section: http://www.filterforge.com/more/news/

I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. From our long communication with jffe, and from some email exchange with you too, it looks like emails from the support account get through all right, and those from my personal account too, and jffe says he's getting mail from other FF users. So, personal email seems no problem.

It's only automatic emails that cause trouble. So far I checked some databases to see if our server IP is on the hotmail blacklist. It isn't there. I'll get someone of the developers to dig into it further. Perhaps it's not hotmail after all but something in our mail server settings.

I've had a consultation with the developers. They say it's hotmail and only hotmail. It's not on our side. And they say they can hardly do anything. "Get gmail" is the only recommendation they give smile:|

Since there are now "Basic" versions of FF available, can they be added to the reward system as well?

It would be a nice way to spend extra reward points to give friends a gift who would really have no use for the pro version.

Just claimed 1x 'life-time upgrades' (YAY!) and noticed that there wasn't any mention in the email I received about the exact license that these were claimed for. Maybe one should be able to select this on the site (in case one owned several licenses)?

Useful point. We'll think about where to add this.

Bella,

are there any news on this?

Say I've claimed an FF license for a friend, how can I make sure that the life-time upgrades I'm planning to buy for him will appertain to his license?

And how do I know which of my own licenses has life-time upgrades attached?

On a side-note: Strangely, I did not receive any email notice for my last two filters that went HU... smile;)

Hey FF team, I'd like to leave another suggestion:

In "Your Reward Points" page, it would also show a list of the points we have used. I mean, where we have spent them. For example:

You have used your points for:
5 - Free life time
3 - A Free Copy
n - ....

And so on.

Cheers,
Lucato.

Would be nice if the 'Reward Point' page displayed the items that one has bought with reward points, like...

[*]5x A free copy of Filter Forge Professional Edition (3 Reward Points)
[*]3x Free lifetime upgrades to all future versions (5 Reward Points)
for the following licenses: ...
