Good job Rawn, I took a gander at what recieved HU and I was blown away. I think the ones that were HU were great; however, I think you have so many more filters better than the HU ones, just goes to show you smile;)

LOL...yeah...the Urban Walls was more of a gimmick thing, actually more of something I thought up to challenge myself. Heck, I never even used that one for anything LOL.

But if people like it and are using it...more power to them smile:)

Though, probably after next week, I wont be able to make as many filters anymore...due to the fact that I will only have a working copy of this on my home machine. But I am addicted, so no doubt I will keep making some every now and again regardless smile;)

why would you need 10? it only takes 3 to get a license and permanent copy.

Well, 10 was a nice round number LOL

I guess 3 for the free copy.....2 more for the permanent copy...and then I took a nice round number to add up to the second copy. Though I guess 8 would have been more logical (3 more after the five). But I didnt wanna get greedy since there was no official word on this.

as far as i know, there is no 'lifetime' reward yet. for the others, it's three per license/copy. so, 9 would make more sense at this point smile:)

1 filter = 20% discount
2 filters = 50% discount
3 filters = a free copy of Filter Forge
4 filters = 10 coupons for a 10% discount for your friends
5 filters = free lifetime upgrades to all future versions

I was just going by what it said on the page that talks about the HU filters and rewards program.

maybe I misunderstood?

May I ask a question here?
I already have 2 HUs now, so I only need my 3rd to finally get a Pro version of the one I currently have. But I used my first HU to get a discount when purchasing the Standard FF. By the time I get one more HU filter up will I still be allowed to get the free Pro version? This really confuses me smile:|

Sorry, it seems I posted some miss-information.

Apparently the way the rewards program works is that when you get 3HU filters, you can "spend them" to get the free copy.
Then for the lifetime upgrade, you have to get "5 more" HU filters, not just 2 more, because you already spent the first three.

So...I am not quite there yet smile:blush:
(though I have not checked the stats lately)

Aha! Is that information 'officially' confirmed?

If so, this would be spectacular. I was under the impression that each 'item' on the reward program 'path' was automatically achieved once an author got the needed number of rewards. Under this assumption, the reward path ends with your 5th reward, earning you one life-long upgradable license, never more [and hence my 'Extending the Reward Program' thread].

However, what you are saying is that rewards are basically a currency that you can use to buy any of the 'items' from the reward list. This immediately raises some questions. For example, does this mean that...

... 6 rewards would allow you to 'buy' two licenses of FF?
... an additional 10 rewards would convert those two licenses into life-long upgrades?

A side question: Could you buy an FF license for someone else with your own rewards? If you had a friend or two that would enjoy a free FF license, could FF Inc. license it to THEM? Or is the reward program account-based and the license bound to this account?

Well, they let me give high usage rewards to other people so they could get the free copy.....so I would think so.....

Upon rereading the Reward Program info page, I'm even more confused. The page is quite inconclusive as to how rewards are officially meant to be used, and I'm astonished I didn't notice this before...

Well, that is what I was told in an email.

Quote
"Besides, though you currently have 7 High Usage Rank filters ,you have already spent 3 of them to get your first copy of Filter Forge. So now you have only 4 HU filters available for getting a reward, which would not be sufficient for lifetime upgrades. But quite enough for another free copy. So if you do wish to receive another free copy, please confirm. "

So one could get a second copy with their rewards if they so wished, and could concievably give it to someone else
