Have 2.0 Pro on XP.

I have a textured skin base image for a 3d character that is very shallow and does not have a lot of (height and depth) texture to it. Its a flat 50% gray texture in jpeg format.

I would like to take this 50% gray skin texture and where the image is a bit darker than 128...then the apparent final depth of the texture goes down...and where the texture is lighter than 128 I would like to grow and deepen the texture height...so I can make the texture pattern as hairy as I want.

Is that something that may be possible with Filter Forge.

I do not have a 3d program I can do this with unfortunately ...and I wouldnt know how to do it to begin with.

Im going to use this heightened texture on another project.

Thanks for your help
