Hey FF Team: I just got my copy of ImagineFX and there is a nice review of Filter Forge in it. 4 stars! Congrats!
![]() I was glad to see the positive review, however I think the author didn't quite 'get' FF ... since they didn't give specific applications of filters useful to the ImagineFX artist community. It's more of a general overview. (But whatever- any press is good press.) |

Thank you! BTW, do they publish online versions of their reviews?

They do: http://www.imaginefx.com/022877543302...tware.html
However, it looks like they've not added the FF one yet. (presumably they just haven't gotten to it yet). Actually, they review at least 2 pieces of software / issue, so it looks like there is a lot of stuff that isn't on the website yet. Something else w/ Imagine FX magazine is that they do very specific how-to articles w/ different software. (they've had a several article spread about making a head in zbrush for example). Maybe some nice user person would make one interesting to the ImagineFX community. Also: each issue comes with a CD. This is usually packed w/ painting tutorials, free models, brushes, texture, etc. etc. It occurs to me that you could include a FF freepack (metals or photo effects maybe), or a bunch of FF created textures or brush images, and people might dig that. (ImagineFX readers can be assumed to be Photoshop-saavy.) |
