Hiya there Folks
![]() Two questions really.. 1) I assume that soon FF will go from version 1.xxx to version 2.xxx, will filters still be availiable for version 1.xxx after this time via the website? If so will they be in a seperate section so i dont get constant ''You will need to update to version 2 to use this filter message'' I use FF infrequently and doubt i will upgrade as the current version seems fine for what i want (i have already written to support about this, be intresting to see the difference (if any) between the official response and folks expectations. 2) with the above question in mind, is there a way to download ALL version 1.xxx filters in one download ?? so i don't spend endless hours browsing for filters !! ----You'd spend way more time trying to sort them out inside FF, trust me, you don't want anywhere near all the filters ha-ha. ![]() jffe Filter Forger |

Vladimir mentioned somewhere that all filters will stay compatible with old versions of FF. I don't know how they'll do it, but the most elegant solution would probably be to have FF automatically select the correct version to download from the filter's web page. If there's a v2 version for a filter and you have v1, it should download the last v1 version of the filter.
I'd advise against that as it completely slows down FF, but (in case you feel terribly masochistic) you could go to 'Tools > Options... > Online tab' and select 'Use the built-in library browser (obsolete)'. Fire the browser via the 'Download more Filters' button, then hit CTRL+A in a category of your choice and 'Add to Downloads'. Repeat for all categories, hit 'Download' and don't hold your breath... ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

this is actually what i do. i have all the filters loaded, plus all of my own (hundreds). my entire filter forge folder in c:/docs and settings/application data/ is over 3 gigs ![]() ![]() i havent done this myself yet, but i'd suggest downloading all filters and backing them up on dvd. then, if you want, delete whatever. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
