But I recently joined this site. How do I go around downloading filters? Like, where is the physical button that I press to download them? Thanks. Sorry if this is newbish, but, I can't find it.

Hi Lucas

Welcome to the fun smile:)

The filters are downloaded from within the FilterForge program.
Click the ‘Download more Filters’ button at the top right

Ok, and how do I access these filters from Photoshop CS2, might I ask?

Hi Lucas.

I am using PS7 but the process should be similar.

When you downloaded FilterForge and installed it then it should have installed as a plug-in to CS2.

Open CS2
Open a picture to work on
Click Filters > FilterForge

This should open the FilterForge program so that you see the screen in my last attachment.

Ah yes! Ok! I am still getting familiar with all of the controls. I do have a question, though. How do I replace the exclamation mark with another image? The exclamation mark in the circle?

Lucas, the exclamation mark means that the component needs an input in order to work -- for example, a Blur component needs an image to blur (as opposed to, say, Checker which doesn't need any input images to generate its patterns). You must connect all required inputs of the component showing the exclamation mark.

Very Interesting feature Vlad. Just a question, will it only open in FF into "My Filters" or it will remain in a specific folder as we had downloaded it from the library?

Cheers,
Lucato.

It will be downloaded into a specific category, as if it was downloaded from the Library via the built-in browser. Actually, the link on the website will point to a "command to download a specific filter", not to the filter file itself, and when FF receives this command, it runs the same download procedure as it does in the old built-in browser.
