Hi, i was just checking the wishlist again -
Thats the main thing im waiting for at the moment, that way i can build up a collection of modules and quickly apply fx, rotation, color mods really fast and i think it would make things a whole lot easier for me, so yeah back on topic im just wondering is V2 going to be a huge wait do you think? |

Uhh, V1.2 with bug fixes and some (hopefully) batch rendering features etc., is still in line behind the full Mac V1 release. V2 ? Maybe 2009 at the current rate I would imagine.

No hard dates of course, but 2008 seems to be more likely to me. The percieved "rate" dropped since we don't need to shell out new minor versions so often now that most of show-stopping bugs are fixed, most annoying problems addressed and even some features added. Please note that I'm in no way stating that FF is perfect, but I consider it's "good enough" to concentrate on bringing on new major features (Mac, V2, etc.) instead of doing a lot of little fixes here and there.
Also, some things in Mac/V2 go in parallel, so it might be possible that Mac version will be something like 1.5 or so feature-wise. P.S. usual disclaimer applies: do not interpret this message as an official statement |

Hopefully, there will then also be a PC release of this v1.5, or I'd be forced to put two additional "Damn you" into my current sig. ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

and i second dilla's sentiments on a V 1.5. i think you'd see a general strike with torches and pitchforks if mac 1.5 came out and pc 1.5 was nowhere in sight!

Well, as much as I would love to see just contant improvements to the PC version, it probably makes alot more business sense (and easier programming wise) to cover all the major platforms first, then incorporate improvements and enhancements to all platform versions at the same time.....

Will most likely be using the app a load more for sure with the grouping feature, no more massive non organized projects ![]() Seems like a long wait but should be worth it, I can imagine FF as a general design tool or at least have more options to do stuff like that if you choose at some point. Im going to buy a game making app sometime this year so i will no doubt use FF for a load of textures, would be interesting if you could make 3d character textures etc also though with placement and layer but i imagine FF wouldn't be up to that task atm. |
