I don't remember now what Filter Forge offered during the initial installation. But for whatever reason, it is putting updates into a folder under the Photoshop folder system, and then I move it do where I keep my plugins. Is there a way to change where Filter Forge places updates for the plugin part of the program.

No, there's no way to change it. Filter Forge puts the plugin files into the plugin folder of the host application(s) you specified during installation. The host applications and the locations of their plugin folders are defined automatically -- you cannot change them.

Thanks, Bella. I'm trying to remember why I would have let it install under Photoshop in the first place. If I uninstall and reinstall, will FilterForge allow me to specify any folder, regardless of whether it is under a recognized program?

Sure, you can install FF where you would like to, it's only the plugin binary that gets installed into Photoshop folder (and only if you choose to do so).

I guess I'll eventually try uninstalling and reinstalling.
This whole thing also makes me wonder what will happen when people who have this pointing at Photoshop upgrade to a new version that gets installed in its own folder.
