Hi everybody,

I just installed and tried FF, quite impressive but rather slow.
I wonder if there is any restriction in der rendering size (image output) because I cant choose bigger than 600x600 pixels ?
Is this a limitation to the beta ?

I read something about very big renders (30000 x 30000 or more) ?

Is there any tutorial yet ?
I only found empty space in the tuts section ?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,
Rilos

Rilos, have you tried the speed fix?

I suppose you're working in a atand-alone version, right? If so, create a 30000x30000 image in Photoshop, save it, then open it in Filter Forge via File > Open.

When we release the full version, it will include a help file. No tutorials at the moment, but I'm sure they will appear.

Thanks, Vladimir for your quick answer!

Yes, I've just made the speed fix, and it works recognizable faster !

Yes, I used the standalone version for testing. There the size is limited to 600x600 pixels. Will try the workaround. Just tried to produce larger tileable textures.

The wood-texture filter is really nice, with lots of variations.
The naming of the parameters is a little non-intuitive, but it works fine.
Will try to produce some wood-specific filters smile:-)

Yes, that's the common problem with user-submitted filters.

It could also be an improvement to let the user choose the rendering size independently of any loaded image.
The standard restriction to 600 pixels could be the default value - fine - but the user should be able to set it to any possible value (without loading a picture of that size). smile:)
