Hi,
I just bought Filter Forge 13 Pro tonight to use as a filter plugin with Photoshop 2024. After I installed FF13 I moved the 64bit icon into the plugin folder of Photoshop. Under the filter tab, FF13 shows up, but I get an error message when I try to use it..."can not recognize Filter Forge 13 command" or something like that. How do I install FF13 so I can use it as a filter? Thank you!! |

So, I guess I solved the Photoshop problem I was having by doing nothing. Also, FF13 works fine with the (beta) version of PS 2025!! I opened PS 2025 and found that FF13 was in the filter list. I loaded an image, clicked on FF13, and it popped up no problems! Now I just need to turn off the seamless tile in some of the "Texture" presets I want to use for my borders / enclosue artwork so I can get one smooth pass over the entire image without it giving me a half image, half black or purple.

You can turn off the seamless tiling by going to the filters settings and turning that off. A couple of things to keep in mind. Once you turn off that setting save that as a new preset otherwise that will be the default for that certain preset. Depending on the filter and how it was created it may be using the components that are for square textures only so having a non-square texture will not work or not look very good.

I've been noodling/doodling for a few hours this afternoon, and the "turn off seamless" works GREAT!!! I was really bummed in the beginning when the program wasn't working, and I couldn't do a lot of things I needed to do in the standalone. Now...this is probably the best filter plug I have...(also own Flaming Pear stuff, and Boris FX Optics which are all very good as well)!
Glad I finally figured it... |
