I can not understand. Why do all my plugins work without problems with any version of Photoshop? Except ... FILTER FORGE. smile:evil: In each new version of Photoshop, FF disappears from the plug -in list. Each time I have to wait several weeks or months for a new FF version. I hint at the new Photoshop 2024. Why do all the plugins work, but FF doesn't work? smile:?:

This is one of the plug-ins that Photoshop likes to leave out of the process when updating photoshop, it is a common thing. You would need to manual install FF. Here is a video I posted some time ago of this method. It is older version but it is still the same process with the new versions.

I already did this, but thank you very much for the advice with the configuration file. smile:)
But I still do not understand. Why developers will not fix this a simple problem. This has been going on for many years.
Thanks again. smile;)

Hi Fusionhorn, we fix this problem in a week after every new Photoshop release every year. This problem is fixed now: you can update Filter Forge (download the latest version from the site and install it) and it will officially support Photohsop 2024 now.

Jane

Hi Djekki,
thank you that you fixed, but how should I find out? I have activated the function of automatic update verification. I have not received any notifications about new versions. When checking, FF writes that the soft is up-to-date.
I'm just curious. FF is my only plugin that requires "voodoo manipulations" to continue working with new PS versions.
I understand correctly that the owners of the early versions have no chance with new PS?

Hi Fusionhorn, what Filter Forge version do you use? Filter Forge 13 Beta officially supports the latest version on Photoshop.

You can download it here →
https://www.filterforge.com/download/beta13/

The owners of Filter Forge 12 can request the Filter Forge 13 Beta license name and key to use it beyond the 30-day trial period (until the official release that is planned by the end of the year.)

OR

You can try the following:

1. Go to the Filter Forge folder in the Plugins folder of your host application.
2. Find the Filter Forge.config file.
3. Open the file.
4. In the IndependentUI line, if the value is false, change it manually to true.
5. Save the changes in the file and try running the Filter Forge plugin again -- this might help.
We can't, unfortunately, guarantee that Filter Forge under version 13 will work with Photoshop 2024 faultlessly.
Regards,
Jane

I know how difficult it is to bring yourself to remake an already working, but outdated product. I remember rewriting dozens of Flash games to a more modern HTML5 standard. It was lazy but needs to be done.

For several years now, Filter Forge has been releasing some small updates. For me personally these are absolutely useless features. I see that software is at the limit of development.
Maybe it's time to completely upgrade the program? More modern engine and graphical user interface, support for modern GPU video cards, better performance etc......

MAYBE THEN I WILL SEE FILTER FORGE ON THE LIST OF PLUGINS IN THE NEW PHOTOSHOP. smile:) I'm just tired of doing tricks with config files. And by the way, that doesn't mean it's going to work.

For developers: PLEASE. MAKE THE 15TH VERSION JUST MODERN. The program is already good, but it needs updating.

PS. I will continue this "rubric" when the next version of Photoshop comes out. smile:D
