I just installed the newest version of Photoshop and yea Filter Forge breaks. It no longer shows up in the plug-ins. When re-installing Filter Forge photoshop does not show up on the list of plug-ins to install. So that means that the newest version of Photoshop is not compatible with Filter Forge 11. Photoshop updates like to break things...
However like before and this relates to the other thread recently posted I created a new video of installing manually. Basically create a new folder in the Photoshop plug-ins folder to place the needed files for filter forge. Next will be an error when using the plug-in inside of photoshop. I also show how to fix this as well......This is also for windows 10...

Here is the video.... Photoshop 22 and Filter Forge Manual install

You want to open the Config file not the plug-in file......

Thank you so very much, dolphincrazy1 andCFandM!
I had the same problem with the current Photoshop CC update (and previous Photoshop Elements versions). I hadn't ever gotten my favorites back but installed lots of new-to-me filters. Now my problem is that I have no filters installed.... I will look for something I spotted on the forums recently - copying filters from a folder.

but it seems work very slowly.. even with small photos takes forever, probably interface is not optimized well. I have high speed SSDs, latest CPU with 24 cores and 64 GB memory and CPU load max 40 %, still nothing happens, tried different filters... When standalone FilterForge with same filters takes 10. 15 se for the same generated image size..

I used few years ago and much slower PC, even so I could see progress bar moving quite fast. Now 5..10% takes minutes, Manager Task reports Photoshop as not responding application.

Some filters are pretty slow especially the older filters. The blurs are slow....

You could also try adjusting the rendering options and see what works best. Its under tools-options in the menu bar. Then select the rendering tab.

If standalone FF works fast and the plugin works slowly, the problem is not with FF but with Photoshop. You can run standalone FF and copy-paste your images to and from Photoshop, or contact Adobe with your issue.

If you had installed FF before on Windows, and updated Photoshop to 2023, just copy the Filter Forge 11 directory from Program Files/ Adobe Photoshop 2022/Plug-ins to Program Files/ Adobe Photoshop 2023/Plug-ins

Good to know that it may be a problem with Photoshop. I may agree that if in in FF standalone works fast then there must be something wrong when using it with Photoshop

Have you tried to use a PREVIOUS OLDER version of photoshop?
You are allowed to use also previous versions available to download from previous year.
I mean to see if the problem is the same with previous version or not.
