The basic idea of FFEasyMorph is a (Windows) tool that supports animation of parameters
of a Filter Forge Filter. So a handy tool for video (e.g. moving backgrounds video from Filter Forge Filters). FFEasyMorph can morph (interpolate) parameters between 2 presets of a Filter Forge Filter and create a new (custom) Filter that has a preset for each "morph step" (frame for animation). The newly created custom Filter acts as a normal Filter Forge custom Filter. You can render the presets (= frames) e.g. with FFEasyRender. More info and download: FFEasyMorph webpage |

Good idea for the ones that want to make animations with FF
I do not do any kind of animations, but thanks for making it for the many FF users that have asked for something like this in the FF forum |

On my website I have placed an example of an animation from the Filter "2.5D Terrain" (author Emme).
See bottom of this page: FFEasyMorph I didn't find a way to place the animated GIF in this post (rejected). Recipe I used to make this animation: 1. I made 2 custom presets from Library Filter "2.5D Terrain" (author Emme). 2. I changed (only) the setting "Water Height" of one of the custom presets and updated the preset. 3. I opened the Filter Editor and saved the Filter --> the filter becomes a custom (user) Filter. 4. I used FFEasyMorph to generate (from the 2 custom presets) a new custom filter with the animated frames (75 frames, about 3 seconds for one animation direction). 5. I used FFEasyRender to render the frames (presets, image sequence) of the new created custom Filter. 6. To create an animated GIF I used "GIF Animation Application". It sounds complicated but it isn't. Only step 5 takes a lot of time, but you can render the image sequence in the background. Hint: If you download FFEasyMorph you 'll find in the zip a (visual) quick start guide how to use it. Have fun. |

PAQ - Possible Asked Questions
How to use? See the Quick Start Guide in the zip download and this topic. How many settings / parameters can FFEasyMorph use for the morph (animation)? FFEasyMorph tries to morph between all the settings of 2 presets that are not the same. (even boolean style settings, 'll cause a jump halfway the animation). How to achieve smooth animation results? Sel ect / create 2 (custom) presets that have the same boolean settings. Although you could vary every (slider)setting / parameter start by changing just a few. How to make an animation with several movements and different settings changes? Create a custom preset (=snapshot) for each part of the movement / animation. In fact these presets are the keyframes of your animation. Use FFEasyMorph multiple times to generate a new custom filter for every part of the movement / animation with a preset for every (animation) frame; e.g. NewFilter1 as a result of a morph between preset 21 and 22, NewFilter2 as a result of a morph between preset 22 and 23. Use FFEasyRender to add these NewFilters to the Render queue and render. How long does it take to create an animation with FFEasyMorph? Since FFEasyMorph only generates a new custom filter (from 2 presets) with a preset for every frame of the animation, using FFEasyMorph is only a matter of seconds. However if you have prepared your animation and you want to render all the frames (e.g. with FFEasyRender 3), rendering can take a long time. FFEasyRender renders in the background and uses the Filter Forge commandline rendering. Why are you doïng this? Perhaps the same reason you are submitting your Filter Forge filter to the Library. You have a filter idea, you create your filter, you like it, it is your baby and you want to share it with the community that has inspired you. I have the same creation process but then with tools / software (as a hobby). Can I use it for free? Short answer: yes Long answer: it is "donationware". If you like it and you use it, you are encouraged to donate some money to contribute towards the hosting costs of my website / for a cup of coffee. It is more a symbolic way to say "thank you" for my time and making my tool(s) public available. Is the beta crippled or limited in time? No, just an opening screen with a button to visit my website. How can I help / contribute? Use it! Make a better manual, make a tutorial (English is not my native language). Show the community what you have created with it. Give some feedback. |

Cool animation, thanks Emme.
Here's another try for posting the animated "2.5D Terrain" filter (smaller version < 1 MB). ![]() |

Wooooow this is great!!! FFCreator, a huge THANK YOU for developing these tools! I will drop a donation as soon as i can!
May i leave a special request/suggestion for the FFEasyRender enhancement? When we select multiple images for rendering, FFEasyRender renders every selected preset for every image. For example, if we have two presets selected ( 1 & 2), FFEasyRender will do the following for multiple images: - Render preset 1 for Image 1 - Render preset 2 for Image 1 - Render preset 1 for Image 2 - Render preset 2 for Image 2 - Render preset 1 for Image 3 - Render preset 2 for Image 3 - and so on for the next images Would it be possible to implement an option that could give us the possibility to choose if we want FFEasyRender ro render each preset sequentially for each image sequentially? Like the following logic: - Render first selected preset for Image 1 - Render second selected preset for Image 2 - Render third selected preset for Image 3 - Render fourth selected preset for Image 4 - Render fifth selected preset for Image 5 - and so on for the next images Thanks for listening and thank you again for these amazing tools! |

Thank you for your feedback.
Suggestions are welcome. Suggestion to add an option for sequentially rendering Can you explain what the benefits of this option would be? Which user scenario? At the moment the design of FFEasyRender is that you define render tasks. Each time you click the "Add to render queue" button a render task (a snapshot of your settings) is added to the render queue of the current render job. At the end, when you click the button "Render!", rendering of the entire render job with render tasks starts. Every render task can have its own image / imagelist (for effect filters), filter, presets and other settings. In your example this will do the job: - make a new render job (button New Render Job); - select the filter you want to use (drag filterfile / select with button); - choose the correct options for your needs; - select image 1 and preset 1; - click the button "Add to render queue"; - select image 2 and preset 2; - click the button "Add to render queue"; - select image 3 and preset 3; - click the button "Add to render queue"; - select image 4 and preset 4; - click the button "Add to render queue"; - select image 5 and preset 5; - click the button "Add to render queue"; - click the "Render!" button. Maybe a few mouse clicks, but what takes time, rendering, can still be done in one action. |

Hi FFCreator, thank you for your quick reply and for listening!
Your tools are very useful to create animations using FF filters. That's amazing! But the other really great feature is that they make FF filters available for us to process any bunch of image sequences. And when working with image sequences, we might need to process each image with slight variations of a specific filter. Thank you for your tip, which is perfect to set up a sequential rendering of a small number of images! But imagine if one needs to process 300 frames (images) of a specific animation? The required mouse clicks to build up such rendering queue might become extremely time consuming... That's the reason for my suggestion: to make FFEasyRender even more friendly when the task is to setup the rendering of sequenced images (animations) with a sequence of specific presets made with FFMorph. Thanks! |

In FFEasyMorph you can choose the number of frames (steps) for the animation between 2 presets. It can be 5, 300 or 1000 or anything else. FFEasyMorph 'll create a new custom filter with a preset for each frame (step). In FFEasyRender (3 beta) choose the "All" option as "Main Preset Selection". If you are using an effect filter, you can choose to render the frames with 1, 10, 100 or any number of images. Seems flexible. Keyframes If you want "keyframes" for your animation: - create a custom filter with a preset for each keyframe of your animation; - use FFEasyMorph multiple times to generate a new custom filters for the morph between 2 presets (part of your animation; eg first time morph between preset 22 and 23, second time morph between preset 23 and 24); - use FFEasyRender to add the different parts of your animation (the generated custom filters) to the render job; - render all frames with FFEasyRender. In which real life scenario FFEasyMorph / FFEasyRender is not flexible enough and what kind of flexibility do you want? |

Your tools are already incredibly flexible and powerful! You have all the reasons to feel proud of this! And it's definitely kind of you to make these programs available for the community.
So far i can see, this is the right method to achieve that kind of sequential rendering i proposed at first. Works great! But if this procedure [(select image X)+(select preset Y)+("Add to render queue")] could be automated for any number of selected images, that could be time saving. Thanks for listening! |

Before has not been interested in animations, but know I changed idea and want to know more about this and I wonder if with this useful tool could be used to create the animations that can be shown in this other thread
Please, is there any way to make THESE cool artistic animations in FF? |
