My 2 cents... is this somehow related to https://filterforge.com/forum/read.php...&TID=16044 ??

If you know how, check your display Scaling values, changing them may or may not help.

Thanx Rachel Duim for the feed back. What Indigo Ray was talking about sounds like my problem. The GMM said it was fixed in beta. Obviously not.

I'll look into the disply settings. But I don't see why that would effect the FF UI. Thanx again for you help. smile:D

It was not; I am still having this same clipping issue. But it's insignificant for me.
Rachel is right that reducing the scaling in Windows can help (ex. reduce 150% to 100%), but at a cost.

I'm also one of those strange (read: cool) people who puts their taskbar on the left side of the screen, which makes it worse.

I just upd ated my Windows 10 copy of FF10, I do not have the issue. My display is 1920x1080 and I'm set at 125% display scaling.

You can temporarily roll back if you go to the update folder and find the 10.005 installer, which is at:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Filter Forge 10\Updates

That has issues as well but if you need to work.

Rachel Duim. Your screen is obviously larger than mine. My resolution only goes too 1366x768 @ 100% or 125% that's it.

Thanx everyone for your help. But the problem is not a clipping at the right side becouse the UI is to big for the screen resolution. If you look at my first screenshot you'll see that the UI itself is missing part of the right side so I can't open the filter editor. Before the update I could dubble click the filter icon an the filter editor would open. Now it won't even do that. I guess I'll just have to wait to see what support has to say.

Thanx again Rachel Duim. I may have to try that if nothing else works. smile:)

And for the truly daring, the application has High DPI settings that might help. Go to the path listed and right click the FF 64 bit app, then Properties and go to the Compatibility tab. At the bottom is a High DPI settings button. Just make sure you keep track of the settings so you can go back if needed. No guarantees.

Thanx once more for your suggestion Rachel Duim. smile:) Unfortunately no joy with the compatibility settings. Anyway, you really don't need the right hand buttons to open the filter editor or save an image, their just a convenience. So even though the software is ugly and distracting now I suppose I'll get used to it if I can't get it fixed. smile:) ( Trying to look on the bright side. smile:D)

I remember I had this issue with a version previous to version 7...Don't remember what version but it was used on a laptop.....I started with the standard 800x600 and worked my way up.....Each time closing FF or restarting and then opening FF to see if that worked.......

You can also find info HERE
This is also related to your issue....

Ok. Did it work?

Anyway. The UI is not too big or of too small. The interface is the propper size. It's just too short on the right side. If you look at my first screenshot you'll see a blue line at the edge of the UI. It looks like I should be able to drag it over with the mouse. But I can't because when I pass the mouse over the blue line the double arrow doesn't appear.

Your link has this suggestion from the GMM.

PayPaul, I assume you're running Windows?

Please delete the following file:
c:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Filter Forge 5\Preferences.xml

and try again.

I'll try it and see if it works.

( 20 minutes later.)

Nope. I deleted the preferences file in the FF 10 folder, did a reboot and zip, nada. Then I tryed your suggestion and brought the rez down to 800x600 and restarted FF then did the same for all resolutions back up to 13666x768. No help. smile:(

Fired up the laptop with FF10 old version and worked fine....Installed the latest version and had the same issue with the UI cutoff...The laptop only goes to
1366x768 @ 100% or 125%......I even swapped the prefs file between the old and new versions....Ill post with any news....

+1. When I lowered my screen resolution to 1400x900 the cropping of the buttons on the right started. My take: some boundary checking for areas of the screen width changed moving forward to 10.006. Double checked, 10.005 does not have the issue.

You know, I following your suggestion and opend up the FF10 folder and looked in updates. I can't say why but 10.005 isn't in there just 10.006. That's weird right? Can an update kick out the old file? I guess the whole problem is my computer is getting old. It's a Lanovo B570 and I've had it for quite a while. I hate the idea of buying a new computer and having to transfer all my software and spend days deleting all the garbage then tweaking and adjusting the system. smile:(

If the update is not done through the UI, it won't be in the updates folder. Here is 10.005:

Thanx Rachel Duim, that did the trick your a lifesaver. smile:D

Unfortunatly , I was working on 3 new filters under the new update and it won't let me open them without 10.0006. I also can't download filters without the update. So what do I want more? Software that looks right, or more filters. Thanx again for all your help. And everyone eles as well. smile:D

I'm sending this screenshot to the support team.

You are welcome smile:) You can edit your new filters (.ffxml) by changing the minor version in the Information tag using a text editor (Notepad?). Keep a backup. Here's a sample of the tag, you would change minor version from 6 to 5.

<Information author="Rachel Duim" name-en="Octoflower" ......... major_version="10" minor_version="6"/>

A hack, but it probably will work but no guarantees.

I know that for a lot of people tinkering around with computer code is no big deal. But for me I'm leary of messing with it. I can barely operate a computer, let alone program one. But thanx for the suggestion. smile:D
