Hi everyone,

We've been offering free licenses to authors of popular filters since the very first beta of FF 1.0 in 2006. It's time to paint the reward program fresh. New terms of the reward program will come into effect starting with the release of FF10 (hopefully pretty soon!).

The most important change is that all existing Profesional lifetime reward licenses will be upgraded to Studio lifetime licenses. So if you've got a lifetime reward license, you'll start getting keys for the Studio edition.

We're removing the discount coupon options and the option to get new lifetimes for the Professional edition. The new reward point table will look as follows:

3 Reward Points = a free copy of Filter Forge Professional Edition
5 Reward Points = a free copy of Filter Forge Studio Edition
8 Reward Points = free lifetime upgrades to all future versions of Filter Forge Studio Edition.

The only available lifetime option becomes more expensive but will allow for installation on two computers and more features than the Professional Edition.
If you have a stock of unspent points (I know some of you do smile:) you may want to claim new lifetime licenses right now, before FF10 is released.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Sorry let me re-word the question....Should we request the Key or are they going to be sent automatically to the authors?.......

Like with all previous program versions, holders of lifetime reward licenses will automatically receive a link to the registration form. You fill in your registration name and platform, and a new key is generated for you.

The only change is that the key will be for the Stuio Edition.

This is a great news as I was afraid that current Professional users would have to upgrade to Studio, thanks very much

Is there somewhere that has more details as to the differences between Pro and Studio versions? I don't see anything about it on the version comparison chart.

Also, a Pro lifetime reward license doesn't sound the same as a Pro lifetime purchased license (Pro Plus). Do those people get upgraded to the new Studio version as well, and what about the regular Pro license holders? Will they be upgraded to Studio as well or is there at least a discounted upgrade rate for them?
