I use FF to create textures for my shaders but I can only get 600x600 resolution and it's too low.

How can I make the resolution larger? Is it really only max 600?

Every filter I have downloaded only outputs 600x600 textures.

Welcome to the forums!

All FF filters are resolution-independent. You need to open an existing image via the Open Image menu option or create a newblank image. If you don't specify your image dimensions, the default of 600x600 will be used.

For changing the output resolution it will depend on the filter you may be using

Please, can you give some examples of the filters you want o use?

In FF there are two kinds of filters

If you go to the filters library page and download you will see that filters are organized in two big folders

——————————————————————————————————————

TEXTURE FILTERS : Means that all these filters will be self generated inside filter forge and NOT need any external input and will not use any of your images

On All these Texture Filters you need to put the resolution output that you want in the Open Image Menu to change the default 600x600

——————————————————————————————————————

EFFECTS FILTERS: These filters will ONLY works with one or more images that you need to load for them to work.

On Effects filters will depend totally of what filter you are using because there are 3 types of effects filters

1 - If the image source is loaded through the menu then the output resolution of FF will be the same of the source you have loaded and so if you want to increase it, you need to enlarge the source image itself to a higher resolution.

2 - If the source image is loaded in a Color Control on the settings panel, then the source image resolution does not matter, and you can customize and choose what output resolution you want in the Open Image Menu and make what you want, because as GMM have said FF is resolution independent and it will rescale your source image according to the filter settings

3 - A filter can have both, load source image by menu and also on filter settings panel on a color control, this filter will behave and work the same as number 1
