FFCreator has kindly developed and created the new very useful, helpful and awesome tool FFEasyRender 2.0 that is compatible with FF 9.0 and also with other previous versions. It works with Windows OS Based computers.

Is really very needed for batch rendering images automatically with your custom selection of filter, presets and source images.

it also helps very much with FF slowness that may take much time to render high resolution results, because with this tool, you can put it to work and leave it working and you can go away and do other things, or put it during the night, and when you come back, it is already finished all the work you wanted without having to wait for it.

When you download this tool you will find a very good and detailed explanation of 8 pages about how to use it and how it works, that is much appreciated

It allows to choose any of the first 20 presets (one or multiple ones) and if the preset you may want to use is not included in the first 20, then as you can move the presets, just copy or move the wanted preset to be included in the top 20, or also another possible way is to make a duplicate of the filter and rearrange the presets to be used for this tool and so you keep the original presets positions.

If you can afford it, and you find this tool useful for you, it would be very good and great if you can givew him a donation for his work (see at the end of this post why)as he fullfills a big wish that has been requested since many years ago.

FFEasyRender is a (free) GUI based (background) renderer for Texture and Effect filters of Filter Forge.

This is my approach of a batch renderer for Filter Forge.
You can download and use it for free.

FFEasyRender stays on top of other windows so it is possible to use it together with Filter Forge. It is possible to interactively define render tasks, add these render tasks to the (virtual) render queue and then to render the complete render job with the render tasks in the background. You can select multiple presets to render. You can select 1 or more source images to render when the filter is an effect filter.

The password to download the zip file is listed on the webpage, see first post.

The zip file contains the program (V2.0) and quick start manual (PDF).
No need to install, not crippled, no malware, free, not time limited.

Tested with FilterForge 6.0 and 9.0 Professional.
Should work with other previous versions since 3

Let me know your experiences and if you have problems.

POSSIBLE USES I SEE FOR THIS TOOL

I seems to be easy to use and with a great potential and flexibility to do many different possible things

1 - FILTER THAT CREATES A TEXTURE AND IS NOT BASED ON ANY SOURCE IMAGE

You can select the filter you want, select the presets you like and then choose the render size and get the results

2 - SINGLE FILTER APPLIED TO MULTIPLE IMAGES

If you use a filter that is based and needs a source image, You can have for example a filter with one (or multiple presets)

If you use a filter that uses color control images, you need to have them already included in a preset.

choose the FF filter that you want,
then select the number of the preset that you want fr om 1 to 20
Select the image or images that this filter will be applied
Select the size of the final render
Select wh ere you want the result to be saved
So you can have a separated result for each preset you choose fr om the choosen filter

So with you can then select one filter, with up to 20 presets, to be applied to multiple images

3 - MULTIPLE FILTERS WITH THE SAME IMAGE

You can also have the opposite, and have multiple filters (and presets) that is applied to the same image

I mean to have for example 20 filters applied to the same image and so you would have 20 different version of the same with one filter applied each time, so I do not mean applying the filters in stack.

So you would do all the steps as for number two but this time for each new job, you choose the same source image and a different filter

PLEASE IF YOU FIND THIS TOOL USEFUL, SEND HIM A DONATION IF YOU CAN

For all his hard work, time, experience, skills and money spent on website.

I do not have any friendship or relationship with FFCreator, just want to thank and help him for making this very useful and helpful tool

in the title is put that is for FF 9, but it has been updated to version 2.1 to use also FF 10 beta

Quote
Tested with Filter Forge 4, 5,6, 9 and 10 (beta).

Current version: 2.1
Changes from version 1.2 to 2.1:
– support for FilterForge version 7-10 (beta);
– added a dialog on start asking to start a new render job or not.

I think that in the title it should be told that this tool is for Windows so it is clear for anyone that may want to use it, so I may suggest that the title could be

FFEasyRender for Filter Forge V2.1 for Windows

Or alternatively also instead it could be put also just below

Thanks SpaceRay for the explanation of FFEasyRender.

For the adventurous people among us:
from my website you can download version 3.0 beta 1 of FFEasyRender.

There are a lot of changes and new options, see readme.txt.

It is a beta with no update of the quick start guide.
Please feedback of the beta in topic:

Great and good news that there is a new update with more things

I think that that the password could be the same as before because you deserve a donation for the work you are doing

There is one UI oddity that might trip some people up: if you don't change the output resolution before choosing a filter, it locks to whatever was there. For a while I thought I couldn't make images above 600x600 for this reason.

Hello Sarah,

The password to download FFEasyMorph (3 beta 1) is on my website:
FFEasyMorph 3 beta 1

You can download FFEasyRender (3 beta 1) from my website:
FFEasyRender
It is on the same page as FFEasyRender version 2.
The password to download is Betatest01
There is currently no manual with it.

I suppose you know the meaning of "beta".

Thank you so much for making this available, It just saved me so much time! I tried to serach for this using the terms batch render and it didn't come up. It was by chance that I found this thread.

I downloaded the version 3 beta and so far its fast rendered out 18 presets very quickly. They were textures with pbr surfaces. I will test it out further and let you know of any issues I find smile:) I have beta tested software before so I guarantee I will put it through its paces.

Couple of questions:
can easy render export the different maps ?
I noticed it can export a preset name does it take that from names applied as notes? my textures were not named this way.

Edit: Just tried out rendering a batch of 900x900px textures in .png format it went quickly but I got duplicates I posted a comment on your site with further details

More feedback:

I got duplicates because I was trying different output formats of the same filter and didn't realize that if you don't hit new render the queue doesn't get cleared. Perhaps a way to make this a little more obvious?

In the read me file it gives the link address to the original thread but there it doesn't seem possible to reply to that thread.

I sometimes use preset notes to name my presets would it be possible for easy render add a name for each preset picked up from those notes?

No, at least not at the moment.
FFEasyRender relies on the commandline renderer of FilterForge.
There is no option to do this (at least not untill version 10 and if it is possible, it is not public documentated as far as I know).

The name of a filter / preset is extracted from the name tag in the filterfile.

Not automatically clearing the render queue (render job) is by design. FFEasyRender asks at startup if you want to start a new render job. Beta 3 has no manual. For some things the manual of the "non beta" version could be useful.

While I think the notes are available in the filter files, I think it would be complicated. How many characters from the note? Special characters not allowed for file names? Do older versions of Filterforge support these notes? So I don't think I'll put effort in this idea at the moment.
