Ya know whats so cool about this program?
You can have one effect filter made, and then only have to change a couple of settings and have soemthing completely different. I made my abandoned station filter, and liked the effect as to how it made grunge, so I varied a few things around and put it onto bricks, and got my industrial brick filter. I then wondered how it would look if I could apply the same type of thing to an image, and suddenly my copperplate burn filter emerged. Now none of these filters really do anything similar to each other in final effect, but they are all related....and that to me is cool! Rawn |

Yep don't get me started on this but, Thats the good point and bad point..The bad point is you make one filter then change a few things then you have several variations
of one filter..Then you got to make a big deceision of which one to send or should you send all of them... ![]() The good point is you get several variations of one filter... ![]() ![]() Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

I hit the randomize a lot! Hehe, I've done all sorts of wild processing too... many of my newest textures (link below to see 'em) were sent through the Filter Forge magic!
I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures |

+2 I end up doing the same thing for several reasons.....too much to have all in one filter, the effects are completely different, don't want to burry a stand-out effect, and makes it easier for users to find exactly what they are looking for..... It could make for alot of filters from the same basic component structure.....but the reality is that there is an almost limitless amount of different effects that can be made with FF. Even if the library had 10,000 filters, it still wouldn't be close to the end of it..... ![]() Steve

Yeah, if the distinctive amount of possibilities Filter Forge is capable of isn't outright infinite, then it's probably still a number that no human could hope to count to in their life time. With the right know how, trying to find the limit of what Filter Forge can do is almost like trying to figure out the limits of what a person can draw with a pencil.
Personally, I love making my filters with a swiss army knife mentality, makes them take days instead of hours to create, but I always feel more happier when using them ^_^ -Zephos |
