Hi folks, we released the first stage of Filter Forge 10 Beta.
We'd love to hear your feeback on the Draft Mode, hope it will speed up your workflow and won't break anything. As always, I'd appreciate if you don't swarm the support team with beta key requests. Remember, it is a fully-functional 30-day trial ![]() |

Nice, I really like the sound of these new features. The configurable bitmap cache looks great!

Nice! I'm already looking at the bitmap cache component on the Mac. Have seen great speed improvements in recursive bitmap code... wow. UPDATE: Koch Crystals, one of the presets goes from 44 seconds to 9 seconds by adding a Bitmap Cache component at the end of the recursive bitmap group code.

Great news that FF 10 beta 1 is available!
Great idea, well thought and very handy and useful to have a draft button to disable what is not needed to preview and test settings and things, and then enable them when you are ready for the result |

Only 3 new things, from which 2 just little enhancement based on what already was before, so, just 1 new feature - and this is completely new version (incl. with paid update) ? Oh c'mon.

This is not the final version, is just the first beta version, and if this is like other previous versions there may be other beta versions including more things, and the final release would be in a few more months depending on how the development goes |

Great! The new version arrived!
Yes. This is useful. It comes to solve a small problem I have with a filter now. I have a bitmap component used to define the transparency of the particles in a Bomber+. In FF9 it takes a lot of time. This new component can be the solution, especially because I don't need to have extreme precision from the bitmap component. |

You can buy a lifetime upgrade license and get all these new versions at no extra charge. Or even get the same thing for free. |

I like how you can change the filtering method and adjust the resolution and get a really fast low pass / blur like output.
On that note it would be nice to have the input source parameters exposed as real properties on the Bitmap Cache component in particular. In other components props the Configurable Input Cache options dialog is a good trade off in terms of usability and interface clutter. Regarding resolution: it would be nice with a more granular approach. When playing with the current options, the available steps seem too crude. Ideally this would be a slider with values from 0..100% (0 = one sample in the center). |
