Filter Forge 9 - why two exe files in Bin folder

Hi,

The Bin folder in the Filter Forge 9 program folder contains two exe files:
- Filter Forge.exe (5.9 MB)
- Filter Forge (x64).exe (17.6 MB)

Also note the difference in file size.

Running any of those files the 'About' dialog says it is x64

The Windows start menu link starts the Filter Forge.exe file

I also have Librarian 9 installed; not sure if it added one of those files.

Anyone any idea why two exe files with different file sizes exist in the Bin folder?
Do the 32b and 64b plugins perhaps use any of the two files separately?

So what is the 17.6MB executable for? The standard one is the 5.9MB exetutable. The latter one is linked to in the Windows start menu.

In the past I wrote a Filter Forge 4 Library Backup / Librarian Quick Guide.
I pretty much finished updating it for Filter Forge 9.
One chapter discusses important file/folder paths which includes the shortcuts in the Windows Start menu.
For being thorough I thought a note not to mix up both files would be in place.
If telling something not to do it is always good measure complementing this with a reason.
In particular since both exe files both seem to run Filter Forge 9.

In the mean time I figured out the Filter Forge x64.exe is the Filter Forge 'plugin' version both for 32b and 64b hosts. At least if the config file is set to 'use independent UI'.
So basically I have sufficient info: one for standalone, one for plugin.
