I'm looking for an Autumn filter it can be filter forge or any photoshop or stand-alone filter/plugin from any company that can run on a windows desktop pc.
It needs to change a spring or summer scene with lots of light green-leaved trees and bushes into peak fall colors. It also needs to not mess with darker evergreen pine trees.
I've tried selective colors in photoshop but don't like the results.
I know this forum is very filter aware.
Any suggestions.

I'm going to think about this one Frank. The filtering should be doable in FF. Changing lighter shade of green to a red/yellow gradient is what I would try to implement. I've also got this in my toolkit: Color Range Picker. I'll take a look at G'MIC to see if it has what you need. More later.

Thanks, Much. smile:)
I've had times where the wind and freezing cold at higher altitudes strips the leaves from trees or turns the leaves black or brown just when they were about to turn to peak autumn colors.

So I thought why not do a photo when all the green leaves are on the trees still and then just mimic the fall colors. That way if autumn colors fail for the year like they did this year in my region I'll still at least have autumn looking photos possible.

The other scenario is I arrive just a little early in the year and there are just a few yellows or orange colors but mostly still greens or lime greens. It would be nice to shift some of the greens to yellows, the yellows to oranges and the oranges to red. Kinda helping autumn colors along as if I were there 2 or 3 weeks later in a perfect year.

I'm experimenting right now with some stock images with the Color Range Picker to see if it's worth moving forward. I'll keep you posted.

I've created a filter to change selective seasonal colors. Very preliminary, here is a first test example with a stock image. Before:

Like with so many filters, if you have a good source image, the result will probably turn out pretty well too... Before:

Kinda curious what this After: would have looked like with the filter applied at half strength or 50% opacity.

Here's another example showing more subtlety. Changing the various controls of the filter will allow this. Also the filter will output a color mask (with transparency) so that you can edit out any color changes you don't want in a separate layer.

I was hoping the FF team would post it this filter ( Monday ) morning.
This would be a bad time for a new filter drought, where they don't post new filters for many days. I hope they are not waiting until after the holidays.
There is a Holiday coming up (I'm doing a STAYcation and I'll have time to use it.)

Wow. I just tried it out. It's exactly what I need. I use my own landscape photography as a starting point or reference for creating artworks. Since this filter uses colors that are already naturally layed out in a scene as the basis for placing the new colors, the new colors flow through the scene as naturally as possible. Not only will this make useful for art refs, many old stock photos of mine. But now if I'm traveling through an area in spring and summer on a once in a lifetime trip. I can shoot a scene specifically for use with this filter. Sometimes I look at a scene and think this would be great in the fall, I should come back then. Then things happen and I can't make the trip. This is the next best thing. Thanks for the effort here. Awesome smile:)
