I have FF V 7.005 on my machine. Downloaded a 7.0 filter the other day and it came down just fine. Made some modifications in it and saved it in "My Filters". Now every time I come up it tells me I need a "newer version of Filter Forge" to load the modified version even though it does in fact load up just fine even if I say no to download the "newer version". If I say yes and download the "newer version" I get the same version and the same problem the next time I start. In addition, it now tells me that I need a "newer version" to download any filter whatsoever. What's going on?

Okay - I figured it out. I installed on my D: drive where I have a lot more space. This seems to be the problem. If I install it in "C:/program files (x86)/Filter Forge" it now works. I really hate it though that people give you the option of installing somewhere else and then apparently don't test whether that actually works, because it doesn't. If you're going to give somebody the option to install in an arbitrary spot then you ought to actually test out to see whether it works or not. Since my D: drive is MUCH bigger, I do a lot of installing there and I see this same problem over and over again so it's a pet peeve. Test your code people!
