Last several weeks were spent struggling with LUA.
The current LUA engine is now 5.3. Quite a number of issues have been fixed, minor and major.

In 5.010, 14 library filters failed to render – now we have only two left: Bad Pixels and Fully Tileable Edge. These two filters need to be fixed by the authors: we have emailed them but got no reply. Until the filters are updated, they are officially unsupported on Filter Forge 5 and above (we haven't removed them from the library since they still work in FF4).

Unfortunately not all news are bright. A few issues, including the not-so-global prepare(), simply cannot be fixed within a reasonable timeframe considering our limited resources. This was a slip in design when we first implemented LUA: fixing it would require considerable rewrite of both the LUA subsystem and the rendering engine. I'm afraid I can't give an ETA for this fix.
