It may happen sometimes that for many possible reasons the Filter Library to download filters from internet through any of the browsers may fail and give possible errors, so you are not able to download a filter you may want

If you need that filter urgently there is an alternative way to download filters without using the browser

ALTERNATIVE WAY TO FIX THE ERROR DOWNLOAD FILTER

So as you could not be able to download through the browsers, you can switch to the Download filters through internal library

Go to Menu Tools --> Options --> Online Tab

"Download more filters" command

click on the "Use the built-in Library browser"

so this way is possible to download filters without any browser that may give you problems, and also you can download more than one filter at the same time.

The filters are put by release date time for each specific category, so if you want to download for a specific filter you can put the name it or look at the category it has been uploaded

I do not understand why FF tells that this is an obsolete way to do it, when is very good, useful, handy and solves the possible problem thatmay happen that sometimes you can not download with the browser, unless of course that the filter server may be down

Maybe because the search function doesn't work with the "obsolete" browser (at least for me)?
Maybe because otherwise nobody will buy Librarian?
Maybe because there are plans to remove this function?
This "obsolete" browser seems to be still present in beta 5, but will it be in the final version 5 (why it is called otherwise obsolete)?

In my workflow I want to search and download multiple filters at the same time.
f.i. if I want to experiment with "Bokeh" filter types, I want to
search for "Bokeh" and I want to download multiple filters at the same time.
With the "modern" browser it is not possible to load multiple files at the same time and with the "obsolete" browser the search function doesn't work.

The only solution seems to be to buy the complete filter database + Librarian.
The Librarian and filter database are then bound to version 4 in the current state, if you don't want to pay for subscription.

I think this can be a showstopper for me to upgrade to version 5.

Or is there another "workaround" to search in the online database, select let say 10 filters and to download all the selected filters at the same time?
