Greetings Everyone!
So in the last few months I haven't used my computer much, today started working on a project and as always loaded up my filter forge to start getting inspired.
The first thing i noticed is it didn't open as quickly as normal, there was a pause and then ever so slowly filter forge loaded up on the screen. Normally its quite quick to load.
Second when I went to check for updates and updated filters via the tool menu I had a unable to connect error the first few attempts.
Once I got it past that issue I attempted to load up the Filter Library : Download more Filters, with the good old Built in Library browser. Seemed all good, got connected to the server, getting list of filters showed up, then when the filter list should have poped up.. filter forge halts and becomes non responsive. To shut it down I have to use Task Manager.
So I changed it over to the Download more Filters Online option to see if that would work. That process is super slow as well, I find a filter I do not have and would like to use say open in filter forge, which displays all the messages then hangs and very very slowly loads up the new filter.
I have checked my system and ensured its clean of bloatware, malware, viruses. Double checked that all background processes i do not need are shut down. Ran cleaners on my system to clean out temp files and space. Everything seems to be good.
IF anyone has any ideas or information on why Filter Forge 4 is acting up and I can't get to the Download Filters Library that would be most appreciated.
