During the past week I've experienced this twice now:

Forum login does not accept my ID/password, even though I've triple checked for correct spelling, lower/upper case etc. I've had to use the mail recovery procedure to reset my password, and only then the forums would allow me to log-in. The weird thing is: The "new" password I've entered is exactly identical to the old password, but now the forums allow me to log in with it. What's going on there? EDIT: I'm using Firefox 7.01, with most scripts and cookies "allowed" for the FF site. Never had a problem logging in with this setup before. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Well, I was wondering whether it had something to do with the recent server maintenance...

No idea what could be the cause of such issues. We haven't changed anything in the forum code for a long time.

Ok, last time I actually changed the pw and it appears to be working now.

It happened again. But this time I have a hunch as to the culprit: I did change my signature via the account settings today! After logging off the old pw did not work anymore, forcing me to email-recover again.

Ok, this is definitely reproducible. I've just changed my signature again via 'Manage Account' and behold, my pw no longer works.

We'll try to fix that when the 3.0 key hassle settles down. Until then, please refrain from changing your signature ;(

This issue is still around, apparently. Just changed my sig, then had to reset my forum pw.
Furthermore, is it just me or are quotes still broken? --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Quoting only works for me by copy pasting, can´t use the option in the post window lol. I guess it´s my browser tho (Firefox). |

Bump. Password reset happened to me again.

The reset was triggered when I changed the Autosubscribe to comments on my filters setting under "Manage Account" and then clicked Save. I logged out, then tried to log in sometime later. Password not accepted. This is... annoying to say the least. I'm lucky I don't usually change settings on my account. Please! Fix the forums! ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

I've noticed that too before. Every time you make any change to your forum account, you are forced to reset your password. At first, I thought it was a security measure...
