I had earned license for FF3 with my 3 reward points. But its not working anymore on FF4. I have still 5 reward points left which make me eligible for lifetime upgrade. But i doubt i have to buy 1 normal license again or simple upgrade option will do with this 1 reward points.

Do you mean that you had FF 2.0 and was going to upgrade to FF 3.0, but waited to upgrade to FF 4.0 instead?
Because now all the upgrades from FF 2.0 has been discontinued
BUT if you have 5 reward points and you are eligible for lifetime upgrade, then maybe you can upgrade your FF 2.0, but I do not know how the upgrades work
Only GMM can help you on this

I had a license for FF3 it automatically updated to 4 few months ago, i dont know how. FF4 wasnt launched at that time. It still ran on my ff3 key which i bouhgt by giving my 3 reward points.
Few weeks ago it updated once more and now key isnt working. I guess this is official FF4 launch update.
My point is, I have 5 reward points which makes me eligible for lifetime update options. Last time when i was buying FF3 for first time I was suggested to buy a normal license, then go for lifetime upgrade. Now when my license is expired, should a lifetime upgrade work on expired (costing me only 5 reward points) or i have to buy again a normal key of ff4 then activate lifetime upgrade b4 FF5 comes in future.(costing me in total 8 reward points).
note- i already spend 3 reward points while buying ff3. saurabh.gayali@gmail.com

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for. |
I also do not understand it right and will try to explain what I personally understand reading the last post above
You have FF 3.0 bought with 3 reward points and the license key for this does not expire
You may have been using FF 4.0 beta with the FF 4.0 beta key that was given to the owners of FF 3.0
FF 4.0 beta key expired and is not working anymore after the final commercial release of FF 4.0
So now you need to buy an upgrade from FF 3.0 to FF 4.0 to get a new license key to use FF 4.0
You say you have now 5 rewards points, so I think that you can order now the lifetime upgrade because you already have bought FF 3.0 and the license for this has NOT expired and is still active, what expired and is not working anymore is only the FF 4.0 beta license key.
So as I see it, you do NOT have to buy the upgrade to FF 4.0 with your rewards points, you simply have to order the lifetime upgrade for your valid and active FF 3.0 license and then you will get FF 4.0 and any further future version.

@Spaceray.
I very previously installed FF4beta when it got launched. asked for a key which did expire. and I unisntalled it too. However few months earlier, my FF3 said cannot access filter library, FF needs to be updated and I got FF4. I was like Voila I got upgrade without need to spend anything. It was not beta, I am sure cause it worked on same key of FF3 MORE THAN A MONTH.
What is interesting is it needed update this time too and the key is not working.
I hope i listen from moderators too soon. saurabh.gayali@gmail.com

uglyboys, please note: 1) the beta was an independent program that required a separate license key and 2) the beta is outdated and is replaced by the commercial version of FF4. You can throw away the beta key so it doesn't confuse you.
So, I still don't understand if you've got a problem with FF3 or FF4?
Please be more clear and precise.

From what I understand
Uglyboys wants to buy the lifetime upgrade license with his own 5 reward points having his FF 3.0 license
I think that is not important at all if you had or not before FF 4.0 beta, as GMM said this is outdated, and has nothing to do with it anymore and you can forget totally about it.
Also is not important or matters IF your license was updated or whatever may have happened, as this is not the problem and you can always ask for a new license key
What is important is that you already have bought before a valid FF 3.0 license AND this license does not expire when is released a higher version, so if you already have spent 3 rewards points to buy the FF 3.0 you can now spend the 5 rewards points to get an upgrade to the lifetime license and so you will get the license key for FF 4.0
It does not matter IF your FF 3.0 license key does not work, it may be some technical problem or whatever, you can request to have another FF 3.0 license key.
I mean that for ordering the upgrade you only need to have bought before the previous version of Filter Forge = FF 3.0
