Filter Forge - Program update

mmissinglink mmissinglink Posts: 6 Filters: 3	Hi, I have FF 3.008 installed on my Windows XP system. I have been trying for the past 20 minutes to update the program from within the app (TOOLS>UPDATES). After a couple of minutes, an error message pops up stating "Download error - The operation timed out". This keeps occurring. What is the best way to update my program?

SpaceRay SpaceRay Posts: 12298 Filters: 35	Yes, this has happened to me too sometimes, so there is another way to update it, just go to the FF 3.0 download page and download the latest version, then install it in exactly same place as you have the old one, and so the installer will recognize the old version and will update it. also have happened.to me that there could be a new version, but using the update inside filter forge it tells you that there is no new update, so then the only way is to do it as above here if this happens
