Hi, I am new to FF, have tried searching for this topic maybe written already, but couldn't seem to find.

When I make a 256 x 256 px image and use a filter, it looks great in FF. As soon as I use it on a 256 x 256 3d mesh, teh entire thing stretches and looks very pixelated and unsharp .... what am I doing wrong? Help appreciated smile:)

You need to unwrap the UVs on your 3D model and then apply the texture. Using a larger texture resolution may avoid issues, but if the texture is seamless you just need to tile it the correct number of times.

What software do you use?

We can't answer this question exactly. You can try to contact with your 3D proram's support team.

The image can't become smaller by itself, the problem can be in the settings of your 3D software. smile:)

If the output of Filter forge looks right, the problem may be in the 3D software and not in filter forge, unless you are exporting or saving the texture wrongly for the 3D mesh.

I think that maybe you are wrong doing the tiling of the texture in the 3D mesh and so instead of tiling it the 3D software program is enlarging just one copy of it to cover all the mesh instead of tiling it, so it would look very pixelated.

Depending on the 3D software you are using, it may be different settings and way to wrap and tile a texture over a 3D mesh, and all of them give a very different result

Would be beter that you show a screenshot to see what is really happening and so know more about it
