is this meant as the tutorials for FF wiki you mentioned in another thread or for something else?

Btw, the Wiki help is currently empty!
This might discourage people without prior wiki experience. I had to ask a programmer friend to give me a short intro on wiki markup just to create a page there... ![]() ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Great, that will be very useful. The Crapa noise article seems to be very promissing when it gets some images and samples of each topic. Sometimes I create stuffs without understanding what exactly they do and just trying stuffs. Is it just me the abnormal one?

The noise lab stuff is something I wanted to do ever since this thread. I'll gradually fill in the different sections on the article as I delve into noise generators myself. However, as I'm currently working on several projects, writing up the article will take some time...

I got the basic design for the Snippet Guide fleshed out...
http://www.filterforge.com/wiki/index...ppet_Guide I think the table format works well, it just needs to be beatified a bit by someone who's good at editing wikis. ![]() Oh and Dilla, you should take a break from the noise lab and work on the Snippet Guide. It should be easy. ![]() |

Are we allowed to link to the 'old' FF help wiki from within articles?
This would certainly be convenient for some kinds of articles, but I'm not sure whether the help wiki is up-to-date anymore. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Of course, but I'd recommend to link the official help pages: http://www.filterforge.com/more/help/ The old Help Wiki isn't guaranteed to be current, the official help is. Plus, it looks way better ![]() |

I'm slacking a bit on the Noise Lab article currently, because I'm working hard on 'Mysteries of the Editor's Pick Unveiled - A Guide to Filter Authoring'. I'll probably complete that one first, but I won't post it before it's ready (just like a good filter!).

Yes, a spammer. If you ask me, spamming wiki or forums being logged in as a registered user is a stupid idea -- you won't get much spam before getting banned (which we'll do tomorrow).

Ok, Just added an article about Kaleidoscopes reflecting about a week of work spread over two months trying to figure out what exactly was going on inside the Kaleidoscope components. Hopefully it'll helps someone else spend less time trying to figure it out. Enjoy.

Is curious that nobody have posted here since December 2010 !!
This is a very interesting thing and very useful and have lots of information in every category and topic, and is very well done. But It seems that there are only a few of edits added, 2 edits in January and February 2011 by GMM and the next 2 edits are in August 2011 by Sphynx and DD360 ABOUT THE WIKI FEATURE WISHLIST PART http://www.filterforge.com/wiki/index...e_Wishlist There are many references to FF 2.0 features but NONE of what is going to be included or at least try to include in FF 3.0, and I think that about this is only FF team that could confirm in the Wiki wich of the things will be included, which are NOT going to be included and which ones there is NO plan to include.
Is there any rule to follow on how to contribute to the wiki in the feature wishlist part ? What is the good way to contribute and what is needed to be done, and how ? Do you have to search in the forums for features requested and that are not already in the forum? I know that you must classify and organize the feature wishes by category. I perhaps could have some time and could make some contribution and update the feature wishlist wiki part. |
