This is a step-by-step instruction allowing you to merge filters pre-included with with Filter Forge 2.0 with your previously downloaded filters.
The pre-included filters appear in your filter list only when your filter storage is completely empty, which usually happens when your install is fresh (i.e. there were no previously installed version of FF2.0 at the time of installation.) While you can download the pre-included filter from the library, some of you prefer to merge them manually. Here's how to do it on a Windows PC: 1. Make sure Filter Forge isn't running 1. Rename your %appdata%/Filter Forge2/System folder to System_old 2. Run Filter Forge. The folder %appdata%/Filter Forge2/ will be repopulated with stock filters 3. Copy everything from the System_old/Library folder to System/Library 4. Copy everything from the System_old/Thumbnails folder to System/Thumbnails 5. Now you can delete System_old 6. Download any filter from the Filter Library (this will update the library structure) |

I have just found this in the forum and think that is interesting, helpful and useful, and would be a good idea that was included in the wiki
http://www.filterforge.com/wiki/index..._Questions Although this is FOR FF 2.0 , for FF 3.0 is the SAME. |
