Hi All, I did some work on ThreeDee's version of this filter posted above somewhere. I gave him a shout and he was happy for me to release the filter but the damned submit wizard will not accept it, whatever I seem to do - moderators - how can i get some feedback on why it is rejected please?
My version adds a grid sampling technique to make the table lookups more efficient. So I'm gonna pop it up here - I'd be interested to get some feedback from some of the experienced voices in this thread. There are some notes in the about section in the filter. Circle_Diamond Packing.ffxml |

When I hit the Variant Button a scripting error notice pops up. I don't know if that's why the Submit Wiz will not accept it or not. But I thought I should mention it. I'm on a Windows 10 64 system. NVidia cudacore card.

Thanks for the feedback. It time's out a lot at various settings, you have to fiddle with parameters to see how far you can push various settings.
So, Is the variant button a part of the submit process then? |

As far as I know, all the settings and sliders from a filter should work correctly to be able to submit a filter to the library. So if there is something wrong it will not be allowed in the submit wizard |

Thanks for the help @ddaydreams, @SpaceRay and especially @ThreeDee.
The variants were the issue. So I scaled down some of the maximum possible values. the filter is available here: https://www.filterforge.com/filters/16093.html It is possible to produce many more circles/diamonds than the current maximum of 5000 at certain settings so if you download it try editing the filter to allow a higher maximum number of ten-circle-sets. |
