There are many news and posts about the new features that Filter Forge 3.0 will have and it will be much improved over FF 2.0 and all is very good, useful and interesting and will help much to make better things.
There is the very good faster PREVIEWS
BUT there is a thing that I have NOT seen anywhere about the FF 3.0, and is about the RENDER SPEED and the following question

Will Filter Forge 3.0 64 bit (final version) RENDER faster than FF2 64 bit ? |
Because I think that this would be a very good and very important thing, and improving and be able to make faster renders would be much better.
Even I would want to have LESS new features, and that FF team is more focused on improving the render speed on FF 3.0
I am not asking with this that FF 3.0 would be using any kind of GPU, CUDA, OpenGL or whatever, because Vladimir has already told that they will not suppport any of this BUT I think that there must be some ways to improve the RAW CPU SPEED and optimize and get the most of the CPU speed in a better way than FF 2.0 is now.
If FF 3.0 would render faster, would be a real good and important reason to upgrade, and not only because of the new interesting and good features added, and the ability to use 3.0 filters.
TIME IS MONEY IN BUSINESS
If you are using Filter Forge in a professional way and working with deadlines and that you need to have the sofware make the things you want in the fastest way, it would be very good if FF 3.0 would be faster to render and get the beautiful, lovely and wonderful textures and filter effects in less time than is now.
