I plan on having this be a running report on what I find in beta 3. So far so good except one itsy bitsy tiny weeny nit pick.

I wish it automatically brought filters from v.2 over to v.3

Hey Red, it gave you the option to bring your settings and filters into it from V2 during the install...at least it did with mine...all my filters are in there... If you didn't do it, just copy all your filters in V2 My Filters folder over to V3 My Filters folder... smile:)

i would suggest NOT using the initial install copy features thing to transfer all your filters over to beta 3 if you have thousands of filters on your machine. the process can take quite a while and if i remember correctly, going from version 1.xx to 2.xx when i did this, there was no progress bar or anything to indicate that the transfer process was still going on and you had to sort of take on faith that things were still working and transferring ok. i'd seriously suggest transferring files from 2.0 to 3.0 manually! now, if FF, inc. have made this easier and more obvious as to what's going on this time, then great, forget what i said, but thousands of files transferring in the background with no indication of what's going on can lead to quite a confusion during an install. one gets very tempted to believe that the whole process has failed and you tend to want to kill the whole install and start over and that can get very frustrating! so, if you're like me and you have ALL the filters from the library on your machine and all of your own creations... do the tranfers manually and save yourself some trouble.

and i shld also say forgive me if FF, inc. has done something to make this better. i simply didnt even try this time based on going from 1.xx to 2.xx. so, maybe the whole thing is much easier and more obvious this time.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

+1.
I'm afraid our settings import system is not well suited to thousands of filters. However, it works correctly and reliably for a small amount of filters.
