I have seen in the example of the Filter Forge 3.0 Beta that show a filter called "Article bomber" by Work and it seems that you could make a beautiful and wonderful texture background mixing many flowers photos as particles.

I mean this photo example shown here ---> http://www.filterforge.com/download/b...mages.html

I have installed Filter Forge 3.0 but I can´t be able to find any filter called "Article bomber". smile:?:

Also there is NO "Alpha Setter" filter or "Noise Pic" as shown on the example photo.

Is this not available yet on the 3.0 Beta ??? smile:?:

Is not available because I choosed to import my FF 2.0 settings and filters ?

Is it possible to use the multiple source images in this first 3.0 beta ?

How could I create or simulate this effect shown on the example of this page ?

I would really love to be able to use that "Article bomber" filter

Thanks very much

attached is a very simple example of how to use and import multiple images into FF3. feel free to use this any way you wish. i see an awful lot of new collage/compositing type filters coming. this is a good thing smile:)

i like how you've done this, vlad. very slick. a bit unobvious at first, but once you see it work then it all makes sense. nice job!

ok, here's a simple image using the above filter. this is just simple stuff for now. i suspect we'll start seeing some really cool ones down the road, but for now... simple smile:)

and here's another, not from the filter posted above, showing some tricks that can be done. i believe this or something similar could be done in FF2, but it's just easier now.

Thank you! Actually, usability and slickness are just part of the reasons for my decisions that went into this beta. Some of these decisions are important for future versions of Filter Forge. For example, separating control components by types (green, gray, blue), besides enabling multiple images, paves the way for component grouping, which, in turn, will eventually lead to proper bound awareness and pixel awareness (I'll explain these concepts later in a separate post.)

Thanks very much Vladimir for the answer and I can´t thank you enough for creating this REALLY very interesting and highly useful and wonderful feature and this Article bomber filter that gets an awesome and impressive result when used with different kind of images in the 5 particles control.

Thanks a million for this feature of having multiple images, you do not know it, BUT i have been already 3 YEARS looking all through internet for a software that could be able to make something like this that can be made now with Article Bomber filter, I could never imagine that my loved and great Filter Forge software would be able in the future (well, now present) would help me get what I was looking for in so much time.

The nearest thing I found was in 2010 the Shape Collage software that lets you choose all the images you want and the make a multiple image collage and what is really good that this collage can be exported as PSD layers to Photoshop so you could move, modifify and tweak each one of the images.

guys, be sure to notice the 'transparent' setting within the color controls and in loading the resident images. you can set the 'transparent' switch on each image you load, independent of all the others. thus, if you look at my firs image posted here, the 4 pic composite, if all those 4 images had the transparent switch turned on, you'd only see the main object of those images and not the backgrounds. this, combined with other bomber settings, starts to give you some idea of how versatile all this multiple image stuff is going to be. add in offset controls and some other things and you can start getting some pretty interesting effects.
