Steps to reproduce

(1) Add a Control Slider to the work area
(2) Connect that to a few components
(3) Edit the name of the name of the slider component by adding the word Bevel before the name it now got (like Roughness or Size or whatever)
(4) Now, when dragging the component, the whole subtree is selected.

This is still in 2.007, utterly annoying. Every time I change a control name, I need to save, close and reopen the filter editor.

OK, I've located the problem, some "hotkeys" seems to trigger when typing in the control-name-field, and one of them sets the [arrow|hand|glass] control to hand, and you cannot get out of that unless you save/close or sometimes if you bring up another app in forground, and then let FF regain frontapp focus it works again (click arrow to get arrow cursor back).

So, primary bug "Hotkeys trigger from key input in Control names editfield.

There are menu keys without any modifier in the meny - that is a "nonononono........"
(Watch out before the HIG-Ninjas comes and chop you to pieces)

M & C are without any modifier keys and that should not be possible, less so legal.
That's what trigging stuff. if I type the control name "common", C & M gets trigged in the menu.

Looking fwd to the next beta, but B2.006 and now B2.007 are pretty unusable for now on Mac OS X...

We're aware of this, but I didn't know that the hotkeys 'fall through' to the menu handlers. I don't see any way to remedy this other than assigning modifiers to hotkeys.

As for HIG-ninjas, doesn't Photoshop use single-key hotkeys?

I dont' have PS, but I guess they are only caught by the editing plane, not by editfield smile;-)
