Is it possible to put a check boxs in the scale component that stops the image being repeated and just scales the one image with an alphia around it?

The Scale component itself doesn't repeat anything. It's the Image component that causes the tiling. Unfortunately, it currently has no option that would let you turn the tiling off.

Here's a solution. Sorry - did this in the FF3 beta so you'll need that. Essentially, you can dink around with the RGB math to get the right values to feed into the corners of a free square and if you get the right RGB math, you can force that to be the right size to mask your scale output so you just get the one copy. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, this probably would have been far easier with a script node. Anyway, this approach works without a script node. Haven't tried for rotation but I'm pretty sure a similar approach would work there as well.

Okay - broke down and did what I probably should have done in the first place - made a LUA scripted version. Beware that this clips ONLY what is in the viewable area - i.e., if you have a polygon that extends outside of the viewing area, it will be clipped in the scale. Also, once again, I did this in the beta. Sorry if that's a problem. There's no real reason for it other than I have the beta as my default version of FF.
