When I try to download new filters using the Beta 2.0, I am unable to download and receive a message stating "Cannot run Filter Forge - the program is already running" while it automatically starts my version 1.0.

Mac pro version, Mac OS X 10.5.8, Firefox 3.5.9

Any ideas???

Please check your Firefox settings: Tools > Options > Applications > filterforge protocol. You may need to point it to your FF2.0 location.

I don't have an "option" under the "tools" menu or anywhere else.

More ideas?

Thanks

Well I finally got FF running on a semi-broken Ibook.. smile;) smile:)
A broken Ibook suffering from the should have been recalled MObo...Have a house fan running on it keeping it cool enough to run.........
So in firefox for osx go to the menu choice that says Firefox (next to the File menu)...Then choose preferences from the drop down menu.....Thats where you will find the applications settings....You will see General-Tabs-Applications etc....Choose Applications.....Then you will see a list of apps that are used to open different things from the web.......Go down the list until you see Filter Forge.....Select that and to the right of that there is a pull down tab that you can choose another app to open filters with..At this point you can choose FF2 if it is not selected already...You may have to select Use Other and find it and select it in order for that to work...
