"•Filter Forge 2.0 Beta now renders all filter images prior to submitting them to the filter library."
Can someone clarify exactly how that works please? |

The only difference is that we've added an additional tab into Submit Wizard in the client. This tab renders filter's variations, maps etc and then submits your filter XML as it used to do, but with the rendered images attached. It helps us not to overload our server with rendering of heavy filters with ambient occlusion maps and [*REALLY COOL THING NAME WAS REMOVED BY CENSOR*] ![]() Space... it seems to go on and on forever. But then you get to the end and a gorilla starts throwing barrels at you. |

Couple quick questions:
I haven't upgraded to V2 yet......so when I upgrade to V2; 1) Will V2 replace V1 program or will V2 be a seperate new program with V1 still intact??? 2) Can/will V1 filters be transfered into V2.....automatically, manually, or not at all??? Steve

Hey Steve,
When I did it, V1 remains, & V2 is a separate program, will be until all the finalizing is done with V2, at least that is the way I understand it. When you Install V2 you get a option, from my memory, to import your filters, I choose not to do this as in the beginning, they, (other authors / customers) had some problems, your call. Yes, V1 filters are compatible with V2. Have a good evening. ![]() Ron zazzle.com/Ronspassionfordesign*

I am a Mac OS X user and I have a license for FF 1.x Pro. I downloaded the version 2 beta but I get no request to copy my version 1 library of filters over to version 2. How Can I do this manually?

On Mac OS X, the FilterForge app-data is located in
~/Library/Application Support/FilterForge (ff1) and ~/Library/Application Support/FilterForge 2 (ff2) (~ = your home directory) In those there is a System-folder, and in that one, a Library-folder. Just copy everything inside the ff1/System/Library to ff2/System/library and you are good to go. - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |
