i downloaded the stage two release and installed it today. very nice! however, it took a long time to come up when i attempted to start it and when it finally did, it gave me an error message saying that some of my Favorites couldnt be accessed/found. in actual fact, it saved none of them from the prior stage one release. is there any way to avoid this? or is this just something we have to live with as each new stage comes in?

Strangly it transfered all of " my filter " but didn't transfer any of the downloaded filters that I had from the library

That's very strange. We'll look into it.

I experienced the same thing:
Upon first starting the stage 2 beta all my downloaded filters were gone, but once I connected to the filter library and the category structures were updated, the downloaded filters were there again. All the Favorites are still gone, but 'My Filters' did import fine. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

I had a similar experience and came here to see if it was a known issue. And it appears it is.
![]() I had a lengthy load time when first starting the stage 2 beta but expected that. Was surprised when it told me that some filters couldn't be accessed. Was even more surprised when I found out it was all my downloaded filters. Thought it might be something my end so closed FF and started it up again. Still took a long time to load but no change. Removed all the downloaded filters - since they weren't showing anyway - to see if that fixed the loading speed. It did. Didn't think of Crapadilla's idea to connect to the library but I am sure it would have fixed things. "My Filters" was imported a-ok. And I'm looking forward to playing with the new beta. ![]() |

just a short follow-up on this: FF2 now loads as normal. it takes about 30 seconds now, instead of the few minutes it took that first time. no other mishaps so far.
