Folks, if you're into beta testing please update to 9.003. Really many fixes and stability improvements there. For a more formal change log, please check over our news:

Great news smile:-)

I'm looking forward to trying out the new features.

Do you have a list of which minor bugs were fixed?
Also - is there a backlog/roadmap for V9 somewhere?

Roadmap? We would never publish a roadmap because it would mean a commitment we don't want to take. Here's a blog post from Raymond Chen at Microsoft on the subject:

As for the list of fixed issues, please check the changelog at the bottom of the news article:

well, I believe there is a middleway between keeping us in total dark and talking about hard commitments. Nevermind.

I was referring to this line in the changelog you link to: "Minor bugs fixed."

It's me who writes change logs, and I use this phrase to cover things that didn't appear in our bug tracking system. For instance, one of the beta builds had file formats mixed up: when you saved the render as JPG it showed up as BMP. The patch was released as a hotfix within hours, I doubt someone was really affected by the issue. It's also possible something else was hotfixed this way, I'm not sure.

If you wonder whether some specific issue has been fixed in 9.003, feel free to ask me, I'll try to investigate.

Thanks for the list of fixed issues. Is the "MacOS-specific: Rendering is no longer slowed down on Hi-DPI displays" issue going to be fixed in FF8 on the Mac?

Three nice changes:

- A new Note component to add comments to the filter structure.
- Fixed minor visual issues on Hi-DPI displays.
- Custom filters can be renamed without entering the Filter Editor.

Thank you!! smile:D smile:D smile:D

Yes, it should be available in the next update to 8.0 (version 8.006).
