I have a filter I've been playing around with over the last few years and it has grown to be massive at this point, many hundreds of nodes nested across dozens of groups with most being in the primary editor graph. As such it can be very performant with certain settings and very very slow with others.

I would like to see if you could add node timing capabilities to this upcoming version as a new feature for all existing nodes. Basically, it would be an optional way to view the node graph which would have a millisecond->second->minute->whatever text timer displayed under the node after it fully renders. This would time the node fr om the start of its rendering till it finishes.

This would be very helpful for me to debug this and many other filters and improve their performance. Knowing where the bottleneck is occurring makes performance tweaking much more targeted. For a normal filter this would likely be overkill but with something like this it takes hours to render sometimes and I can't sit there the whole time watching each node to try and figure out where most of that time was spent. Other times it may only take minutes with certain settings so it becomes very hard to determine wh ere the slow down is occurring with no timers on that many nodes.

It might also be handy to have the text color coded to more easily spot the really slow ones. (green->yellow->red or maybe just green->red)

Thank you for your input. We are looking into ways to display filter performance, and your ideas are somewhat consistent with ours.

Nifty. Thanks for the reply. I'm looking forward to seeing something like this eventually smile:)
