When a default preset is loaded at program start, the image is half the size it used to be (attached). Of course you can do a Command + to get the original size.

If you change to a different preset with the same built-in image, the larger size (Command +) is preserved. But if you change to a different preset with a different built-in image, the Command + is lost, and the image is too small again.

Just minor display stuff...

We'll, that presents a dilemma. On one hand, smaller images look ugly on retina screens. On the other hand, making them bigger will increase the rendering time up to 4x, which compounds with the problem of Apple computers being notoriously underpowered these days.

(We can leave the image resolution as-is and preserve the zoom level, or automatically zoom-to-fit on image load, but that will leave us with 2x pixels, which creates an impression of low resolution).

You are right, there should be the same amount of rendering in FF 6, not more. What seems to be going on: in FF 5 the built-in images are displayed "pixel doubled", that is, 1200x1200 (at least on a Retina display), and the Actual Pixels button is greyed out. The rendering is still 600x600.

So one way is to duplicate how the images were displayed in FF 5, "pixel doubled", with no additional rendering.

Another way is to keep FF 6 the way it is now, but keep the current "zooming" state between presets (and between program launches if possible). With this method you can use the Actual Pixels button "correctly".

My 2 cents, 3 with inflation.
