This might be a cosmetic bug, or it might be... intentional?
See attached image. Preview is actually locked on the right Image component, but the context menu for the left Image component shows a tick icon next to its 'Lock Preview' option, implying that preview lock is active for this component. Obviously, this is NOT the case. ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

I'm pretty sure this is intentional. All Image components are just instances of the same entity. You will get the same behavior when you lock preview on an instanced Group.

My bad, I chose a poor example. Try the following instead:
1. Create two different components. 2. Lock preview on one of these components. 3. RMB-click the other component. 4. Note the existence of the tick icon left of the 'Lock Preview' option. I find it hard to believe that this is intentional. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

A more drastic example:
1. Open any library filter with the Filter Editor. 2. Lock preview on a component of your choice. 3. Begin inspecting other components via RMB-click. 4. Note that all components you inspect will have a tick icon left of their 'Lock preview' option. Intentional? --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Believe it or not but Vladimir said this was intentional. A tick icon in the right-click popup menu is a control allowing you to reset the lock preview quickly.
