I seem to be having a UI issue whereby nothing is happening when I click on either the Presets, Settings, or About tabs. I can not apply presets by double-clicking on them, only by right clicking and selecting ‘Apply Preset’. There is no way, however, for me to access the Settings or the About tabs, nothing changes when I click on them. The same happens when I go into the Options preferences - only the first tab (interface) is accessible. Clicking on Filter Editor, Rendering, Scripts, Gamma, or Online fails to load the new options (it always shows options for Interface).
Are these functions not yet ready in Beta 6 or is it instead some issue with my computer or my FF6 install? I can open the Filter Editor normally to edit and save changes but the above listed functions are not working. My system is OS X 10.9.5 Intel Core I7 3.5 GHz 32 GB memory |

Filter Forge 6 was rewritten in Cocoa, including the input subsystem, so it is possible something has got broken in the process.
- Does FF5 work correctly for you? - Can you navigate through these options via keyboard? - What positioning device do you use? |

Yes FF5 work perfectly fine. I can navigate using TAB, but that only toggles between items in the Filter Library and the search field. I am using a first gen Magic Mouse. But I also tried with a regular USB mouse and experience the same issues. |

Please remove the following file:
/Users/Your_User_Name/Library/Application Support/Filter Forge 6/Preferences.xml Run FF6 again and check if the issue persists. Also, do you get a blue selection box when you try clicking on a new tab, or are the tabs completely unresponsive? |

I have deleted the preference file but problem persists.
I do not get a blue selection box when clicking other tabs. The tabs are responsive (clicking on them does show the active mouse down state). But other than that the window doesn't refresh with the correct parameters (all options stay from the previous, initial screens). |

Thanks for your replies.
The devs are also wondering if there's something useful in your Filter Forge log file. Please locate this file: /private/tmp/Filter Forge universal.log If it exists, please post it here. |

I don't see that file.
I am thinking of removing and trying a re-install of the application. |

Is there any particular procedure for uninstalling, I do not see an uninstaller. Do I just trash the main Filter Forge 6 folder?

There is no formal uninstalling procedure: just remove the program folder from Applications and reinstall from scratch.

I believe this is a bug. I have been able to reproduce the issue on a completely different computer. It seems to effect systems running OS X 10.9.
I thought at first that maybe, since I was running a Hackintosh, there could be some incompatibility. So I tried installing FF6 on a 2010 Mac Mini that has partitions for both 10.10 and 10.9. The install on the Mac Mini running 10.10 operated normally. On the very same machine under 10.9, however, I was able to reproduce the very same issue experienced on my other computer running 10.9. |
