Hi I know your working hard on randomisers but something I've noticed which would make my life awesome is a way to render out all the various maps without having to manually click go for each layer. I want to make textures for games and its just a bit long winded exporting layers such as Normal and Occlusion. Can you consider some code magic to be added to this area?

There is a way to render all maps at once (non-obvious, I admit). You need to save each render map as a separate preset (on the Presets tab click the menu triangle and select Add preset). Then use the batch renderer to render all the required presets -- for details, please see this help section:

Ok that is kind of helpful but still involves waiting for all 3 to render I think before I can preset them? Let me try it out before I assume, maybe I can just click add preset before they render. Otherwise I think it will take twice as long that way, 1 render for preset and 1 again for the batch. Its good to know I can batch out the presets though so thanks for the tip.

Yes, please! I would envision a render menu where I can choose which channels I want to render, select the image format and select the custom ending that gets attached to the filename. Just take a look at the mockup to see what I mean.
Seriously, this is something that would be the icing on my Filter Forge cake. I know that there are not so many texture artists like in Substance Designer for examp,e but FF still has a far superior quality and that would gain attraction to other users I bet. Creating a batch render by hand is way too much work for the casual user undless you create a GUI for that... which brings us back to what we actually wanted ![]() ![]() |

raabix mockup is a reasonable and useful request. I hope it happens.

Synchronicity at it's best, it was only yesterday I received a BETA 5 email with the new feature list, I thought it was a bit bare so requested this directly. I hope they take note. Like you say filter forge is top quality for textures I find hard to get elsewhere. I hope the they listen it looks like the version 5 feature list could do with some bulking out in my opinion. I've paid already.

That mockup is pretty damn good. Plus we really want this feature.

I completely agree. This feature would make a big difference for people making textures for production.
Rendering out separate render maps is *VERY COMMON* in other render engines that people are using. This is a standard-ish feature which is oddly missing from FF. (Why have a automation tool with manual saving?)
I also completely agree with this sentiment. Hand creating a batch to save just a few files (~20) isn't going to happen for most users.
FWIW Actually, now that Substance Designer integrates with Unity3D, that has really widened it's appeal. (Imagine loading your FFXML file straight into your render software.) |

+10 I also completely agree that it would really good, useful, time saving and very helpful to have some kind of option like the mockup GUI above to be able to choose to render and saves all the involved and selected render maps of any possible FF texture to use it with any 3D software, this is very common, and is missing in FF |
